Start with the smallest intervention that improves the complete workflow.
Start with the smallest intervention that improves the complete workflow. Move from assistance to redesign or rebuild only when evidence clears the added cost and disruption.
AI everywhere is not a defensible default. Do not rebuild more of the job or workflow than the evidence justifies.
Four choices
AI Assistance — Use AI for bounded, checkable tasks while workflow ownership stays intact.
Targeted Redesign — Change the measured handoff, role, process step, or decision right that blocks workflow value.
Rebuild Around AI — Rebuild only when whole-workflow economics, controls, resilience, and workforce capacity clear the larger gate.
Wait or Quit — Pause for a named evidence gap or stop when the full intervention fails its value, quality, control, or accountability test.
